Whether it's an individual, business or organization, the provincial government is seeking nominations for the multicultural awards.
"Cultural diversity helps create a strong and vibrant social and economic future for British Columbia. We are looking for multicultural champions - individuals and organizations who go the extra mile to promote multiculturalism, address racism and help build inclusive communities in our province," said Teresa Wat, minister of International trade and minister responsible for multiculturalism.
There are five categories open to showcase those who promote multiculturalism and inclusion in their communities.
The categories are individual, business, organization, youth and multicultural excellence in government.
Each winner in the first four categories will get $5,000, which will be donated to a non-proift group of their choice to support multiculturalism and all recipients get a trophy.
Deadline for nominations is 5 p.m. Sept. 21, 2015.
