The driver of a Northern Health Connections bus on route to Prince George was injured in a single-vehicle crash north of Quesnel on Tuesday.
The bus, carrying a single passenger at the time, crashed on Highway 97 at approximately 5:45 p.m., about 15 kilometres north of Quesnel, according to a statement issued by Northern Health.
The passenger on the bus was uninjured, but the driver suffered non-life-threatening injuries and is being treated at GR Baker Memorial Hospital in Quesnel.
The crash is under investigation, but weather is suspected to have been a factor in the incident.
The bus was on a regular route between Quesnel and Prince George. Northern Health is making arrangements to recover the disabled bus on Wednesday.
No service disruptions on the route are expected, with the next Prince George-Quesnel route scheduled for Jan. 12.
