Prince George's New Year's baby has arrived.
Alma Elvira Baerg was born at the University Hospital of Northern B.C. in Prince George on January 1 at 1:55 a.m.to mom Stephanie and dad Joel.
The newborn arrived quickly and safely via water birth with midwife Karin Gerlach, weighing in at 10 lbs 8 oz (4,750 grams).
Alma has a brother, Atticus, 4, and a sister, Evelyn, age 2. The Baerg family lives in China, studying language, and came back to Canada to visit family and for Alma's birth.
She was also the first baby born in northern B.C. this year.
