A former North District RCMP second-in-command will be taking over the top job at the detachment.

Now the RCMP's Officer in Charge of Central Alberta Operations, Chief Supt. Lesley Bain will be back in Prince George starting in early July, North District RCMP Cpl. Dave Tyreman confirmed this week.

When she was here previously, Bain reported to Rod Booth, who retired at the end of March.

"She is now taking a lateral transfer back to the North District as the new district officer," Tyreman said.
