Northern Health is hoping to hire three new doctors to work in Mackenzie by switching to a new payment program.
Details are being worked out on switching from the traditional fee-for-service model, where doctors are paid on a per-patient basis, to one where physicians are provided a salary, "offering financial stability," said Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Pat Bell in a press release issued Saturday.
