The Prince George Chamber of Commerce unveiled its new logo on Friday.

The Prince George Chamber of Commerce has a new logo and will soon have a new CEO.

On Friday, the chamber of commerce unveiled its new visual branding – on outgoing CEO Todd Corrigall’s last day with the organization.

“A big thank you for Todd, getting it across the finish line on the last day,” Chamber chairperson Ray Noonan said. “You are a phenomenal leader and you will be greatly missed.”

The new logo was designed by Prince George-based Monogram Communications. Company CEO Alyson Gourley-Cramer said the design is intended to reflect the heritage and geography of the city – including a tree and the confluence of the rivers – as well as the future of the city.

“…(We) are evolving from a resource and industry-based economy to an innovative and knowledge-based economy,” Gourley-Cramer said. “It’s a pretty exciting time to be part of this community and be a part of this project.”

Corrigall said the old logo looked similar to many other chamber of commerce logos throughout the province.

“Everybody looks the same,” he said. “It doesn’t speak to our past… or our future.”

Noonan said the chamber's search for a new CEO is "well along the process," and the chamber will likely announce its new CEO soon.
