New colleagues Andy, Annie and Annie will join the team in the nursing education department to enhance the hands-on experience offered to students as part of their training at the University of Northern B.C.

Andrew Wilkinson, minister of advanced education, made the announcement Friday that the university will receive $103,400 toward purchasing simulation mannequins for healthcare students. Simulation Andy is a complex simulator that can demonstrate a heart attack and even cry, while the two simulation Annies are more basic in nature.

The focus for this government funding is aimed at skilled workers like those in healthcare under the Skills for Jobs Blueprint.
