Prince George RCMP have released the names of two males who died as a result of two motor vehicle accidents over the July long weekend.
On July 1, 2010 Prince George RCMP Traffic Services were called to a motor vehicle accident on Miworth Road.
Anthony Chalise Rossetti, 26 years old of Prince George was driving a Dodge passenger van when he lost control of the vehicle and struck a power pole. Rossetti, who was the sole occupant, was pronounced dead at the scene.
On July 4, Prince George RCMP, BC Ambulance Services and the Pineview fire department responded to a motor vehicle accident in the 6400 block of Bendixon Road.
Brad Lee Rotar, 27 years old was a passenger in a pick up truck when the driver lost control and struck a power pole. All three occupants in the truck were injured and transported to the University Hospital of Northern British Columbia.
Brad Lee Rotar succumbed to his injuries and died at the hospital. Rotar was originally from Edmonton Alberta but was recently residing in Prince George.
Prince George RCMP are still investigating the collisions and advise that speed and alcohol were contributing factors in both accidents.
