Embattled city council member Brian Skakun is stressing he was no longer in a relationship with fellow councillor Debora Munoz when he allegedly confessed to her he leaked a confidential report to CBC.
In an interview, Skakun said he and Munoz had broken off their relationship in late summer 2005, just before the local election campaign began in earnest and by the time Munoz went to city officials with her allegations, he was married to another woman.
