If you're heading towards the Cariboo for the B.C. Day long weekend, you may want to look for a different route.
Drive B.C. is reporting a closure in both directions on Highway 97 this afternoon (Aug. 2) between Quesnel and Williams Lake due to a multi-vehicle incident.
Crews are on scene tending to the situation as of 1:23 p.m. with an estimated time of re-opening at 11 p.m.
Unfortunately, no detour is listed between Picard and Hill Roads, which is almost a five-kilometre stretch near Wildwood.
