A man was sentenced Tuesday to a further 351 days in jail for robbing someone of $40 at a downtown Prince George automatic teller machine.

Once the jail time is up, Michael Junior Aslin, 36, must also serve one year probation. He was also ordered to provide a DNA sample and was issued a 10-year firearms prohibition.

Aslin has remained in custody since January 22 when, with the help of images from a security camera, RCMP tracked him down following a report of a robbery that morning in the 400 block of Victoria Street.

Aslin has a lengthy criminal record for offences committed in Prince George, Fort St. James and Vanderhoof.
