A flasher is exposing himself to local young girls.

Three incidents have now been reported to police and all three seem possibly to be linked.

The latest incident happened on Wednesday during noon break when two students of Duchess Park secondary school were surprised by the unwanted sexual display.

On Tuesday it was a trio of elementary-aged children - 10 and 11 - who were subjected to the flash at about 4 p.m. near Harwin elementary school.

"The pickup was driven by a man, and he said something in the manner of 'have you seen this before?' or 'take a look at this' and showed them his genitalia. Once the girls noticed what he was showing them, they ran and he sped off fast," said the parent of two kids (they were walking with a friend, all girls) involved in the Harwin incident. "They are terrified. Absolutely distraught. My youngest thinks men are there to protect women and children, not portray this to them."

In the case of the two older girls, Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass described the event.

"The driver pulled up, yelled at the girls, got their attention, flashed the girls and then the girls departed quickly and reported it to the school. The school called the RCMP."

These two new reports follow an incident reported exclusively in The Citizen of two girls flashed near Carney Hill school on Wednesday in much the same circumstances.

In all three cases the description was of a dark-coloured pickup and a Caucasian man in his 20s or 30s. The latest two descriptions included a goatee beard.

The parent of the Harwin girls was assured that "the police are on it, and they were very good with the girls when they interviewed them," but was disconcerted that more incidents of flashing were happening.

"This is a very serious, recent, unfortunate set of circumstances. The detachment is treating this as a priority and will use all available resources to locate and identify and bring to prosecution the person responsible," said Douglass. "If this has happened to you, or you have information that might be of assistance, please let us know. We are trying to firm up a description and pick up any more leads, so any information from the public would greatly help."
