No need to worry if you see black smoke east of Prince George all day tomorrow (May 22).
A fire training session is taking place at YXS Airport between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m.
The Prince George Airport Authority is reminding residents these fires are controlled in self-contained facilities allowing firefighters to train and earn their certification.
The flames will not pose a threat to the public or the airport's surrounding environment.
The fires may produce dark smoke that can be seen across the city which has, in the past, caused concern from residents resulting in an increased number of calls for concern.
