The popularity is already overflowing for flights between Prince George and Calgary. The new air service has now spilled over onto Sundays.

Central Mountain Air started the route earlier this month on a five-days-per-week and starting July 7 they are adding a sixth day each week.

"This route has only been operating for a few weeks now, but the response from northern B.C. residents has been great," said CMA President Douglas McCrea. "In an effort to increase capacity, we are thrilled to announce service between Prince George and Calgary has been expanded to include Sundays. A big thank you to those who have booked a flight and supported us on this new route."

President and CEO of the Prince George Airport Authority John Gibson said, "this is great news for Prince George and the region as the additional day gives business and leisure travellers more options. Flying between the two areas on a Sunday bodes well for the business community looking to start their week with meetings in either city."
