Montreal murder suspect arrested in Prince George

RCMP assisted, with the suspect to be transported back to Quebec

Local RCMP assisted as the Montreal police arrested a murder suspect in Prince George Tuesday.

The man was wanted in connection with the shooting death of a man in Ahuntsic-Cartierville in May, Montreal police stated.

One suspect was arrested in St-Jerome, Que. on Tuesday while the second, 31, was picked up in Prince George. Both will be charged with first-degree murder, with the second suspect to be transported back to Montreal.

Montreal police say RCMP assisted along with police services in Quebec, Vancouver and Victoria.

The shooting happened May 14. A man was taken to hospital and pronounced dead.

No names were released.
