Money for celebrating winter

Those looking to make this winter bright are eligible for city grant money. The city is accepting application for Community Enhancement grants until 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 for local community groups celebrating winter.

The city is accepting application for Community Enhancement grants until 4:30 p.m. on Oct. 11 for local community groups celebrating winter.

Those interested in applying for funding up to $2,000 must demonstrate they will add value to the city by hosting a winter event, festival, recreation activity or a visual display with a winter theme.

Money is distributed through Enhance PG, a committee designed to promote and encourage positive winter lifestyles. Participants must provide at least 50 per cent of the project costs, which can be made up of volunteer hours, in-kind donations, cash, etc.
