The federal government is putting $9 million towards training up to 600 aboriginal people on the skills to build and operate the Pacific Trail natural gas pipeline.
On of two major pipelines proposed for northern B.C., the $1.1-million project will stretch nearly 500 kilometres from Summit Lake, just north of Prince George, to Kitimat and will cross over the traditional territories of 15 aboriginal communities in northwestern B.C.
