The Spice Cabinet, MLAs Shirley Bond and Pat Bell's Great Northern Chili Cook Off team, took the title of best chili with a convincing 64 votes at the Prince George Community Arts Council's annual Spring Arts Bazaar held Saturday.
Second place went to Caliente Colectivo from the College of New Caledonia with 39 votes and the PG Potters' Guild took third place with 31 votes.
The Spring Arts Bazaar is the arts council and potters guild annual fundraiser which includes the chili cook off, an artisans market, live entertainment and plenty of fun for the children. The event has free admission and the fundraising comes in when people purchase the take-home bowl for the all-you-can-eat chili tasting.
During the Bazaar there was a community art project that invited people to make stepping stones that will be placed in the front lawn and future sculpture garden. There were 20 stepping stones created and 25 smaller ones were made by families who took them home.
No word yet on the total funds raised during the chili cook off.
