RCMP say a Quesnel man who was reported missing on Jan. 1 was found deceased in his vehicle on Tranquille Road in Kamloops.
Malcolm McLaughlin, 90, was located on Jan. 5; police say all evidence suggests that he was involved in a single-vehicle collision and there's nothing suspicious regarding the crash.
McLaughlin had his dog Chico with him; the Dachshund, who was alive and uninjured, was taken to a local animal hospital until arrangements could be made to return the dog to McLaughlin's family.
"The RCMP wish to thank the public in the search for Mr. McLaughlin and Chico. The BC Coroners Service will have conduct of the investigation and no further information (will) be released at this time," reads a press release.
