Update: Missing Prince George senior found safe

John David Young's truck was stuck and he was found by hunters near Merritt

RCMP are reporting that a missing 67-year-old Prince George man has been found safe.

John David Young was reported missing after he was last seen in Logan Lake on Sept. 21, visiting a friend.

He was travelling alone from his home in Prince George to Duncan on Vancouver Island, police said in a release.

Logan Lake RCMP thought that Young may have mistakenly travelled north from Spences Bridge to Clinton and could still in the Clinton area. Air and ground search efforts were not able to located him or his truck.

However, police say that On Sept. 30, hunters who were in the Merritt area located the man whose vehicle had been stuck. He was taken to hospital with minor injuries due to being out in the elements.
