The missing motorist sought by the Valemount RCMP has been located, deceased.
The body of Dennis Gordon Gundmundson was discovered on Saturday, but news of the discovery was not disclosed until Monday morning.
"The body of Mr. Gudmundson and his motorcycle were located down an embankment on Highway 5, south of Valemount," said North District RCMP spokeswoman Const. Lesley Smith. "Family and close friends have asked the RCMP to convey their deep appreciation for the efforts by the BC Search And Rescue professional volunteers and all others who helped in the search for Mr. Gudmundson."
Valemount RCMP are currently investigating the incident to determine what caused his motorcycle to leave the roadway.
