Clues to the fate of Marie Ann McCann, 77, and her husband Kyle Thomas McCann, 78, whose burned motorhome was found on July 5 in a remote forested area west of Edmonton, could lie in the hands of a couple who stopped by the front desk of the downtown Prince George RCMP detachment on Tuesday.

At about 2 p.m. Tuesday, the couple turned in valuable information about a light green Hyundai Tucson SUV bearing the Alberta licence plate ZPK-289, which the McCanns were towing behind their motorhome.

RCMP would like that couple to contact them again. Anybody with information on the vehicle is asked to call Cst. Cruz at 250-561-3300 or the serious crimes unit at 250-561-3365.

Family members have not heard from the McCanns since July 3. They were reported missing on Saturday. There was no record of them staying at the campground where the motorhome was found. Neither their cell phone nor their bank accounts have been used since their disappearance.
