A bullet was shot into a motorist's tires Thursday morning in the 10,000 block of the Hart Highway.
"Officers attended the area and spoke with a group of four males about the incident," said Prince George RCMP spokeswoman Const. Julie Champagne. "Through the investigation it was learned that ...a 54-year-old Richmond resident, had a loaded riffle inside a parked vehicle. It appears that the firearm was accidentally discharged and the bullet went through the door of the vehicle and directly into the tire of a second vehicle parked beside it."
As a result of the errant bullet, charges are being recommended against the man for careless use of a firearm and unsafe storage of a firearm. Three guns were seized by police at the scene.
