A snow plow and a minivan collided during the Monday morning commute.

According to RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass, "the driver of the minivan suffered non-life-threatening injuries and was taken to hospital by the BC Ambulance Service" and there were no reported injuries to the snow plow driver.

The crash happened at 7 a.m. on the Hart Highway near Hartway Road. The motor vehicle incident (MVI) did not force the closure of the highway but did slow the flow of traffic for a couple of hours.

"Prince George RCMP are reminding the public to drive to the road conditions and take extra caution when near a snow plow," Douglass said. "Leave early and allow extra time to make it to your destination safely."

Several other MVIs occurred in and around the city, Monday, and The Citizen will provide that information as it becomes available.
