The Northern B.C. Children & Families Hearing Society is hosting a two-day Mini Immersion experience Friday and Saturday for families with deaf or hard of hearing children and family members and friends they interact with to come together to share, learn, and connect with others for two days of reading activities, social interaction, games and sign language activities, including book give aways.
On Friday, there is a very special performance workshop with Vlad, a multi-talented deaf performing artist from Vancouver.
Vlad has gained recognition among adults and children as both a performer and an instructor of mime, drama, stage movement and visual-gestural communication for deaf and hard of hearing learners of all ages. This workshop is titled - About Face: Unlocking the Door to Truly Expressive Signing.
