The House Doctor is in.
On Nov. 2, CBC medical personality Dr. Brian Goldman will deliver an afternoon lecture and discussion on the quality of healthcare at Vanier Hall.
The veteran ER physician has been an award-winning medical reporter for CBC Television and is known country wide as CBC Radio One's House Doctor.
Goldman, whose appearance is presented by the Citizen and Northern Health, has a knack for breaking down medical jargon and on White Coat, Black Art, takes listeners behind the scenes to show what goes on at hospitals and clinics.
As an author, Goldman offers an inside view to the front lines of emergency medicine in The Night Shift, Real Life in the Heart of the ER. His TED talk on creating a culture of safety in the medical system has been view more than 760,000 times.
Tickets for the Saturday afternoon event are $20 for Citizen subscribers and students, $25 for the general public and are available at the Citizen office.
