Prince George mayor Lyn Hall is welcoming public input at next Monday's city council meeting to try to find solutions to downtown problems.

During its last online poll, the Citizen asked: "Should the mayor resign due to the $22 million cost overrun to build the George Street parkade?"

Results came with a convincing number saying yes, with 44 per cent and 625 votes that answered "yes, a huge oversight failure." The next popular answer was "yes, he knew what was going on and didn't tell council," with 26 per cent and 366 votes.

"No, blame should be shared by all of council," took 23 per cent and 327 votes and trailing with eight per cent and 108 votes was "no, it's the fault of the bureaucrats."

There were 1,426 votes cast. Remember, this is not a scientific poll.

The new online poll questions asks "what would you like to see city council do when it sets its property tax rates for the coming year?"
