Two weather records were set in May according to a synopsis for the month from Environment Canada meteorologist Jim Steele.
The four centimetres of snow that fell on May 21 broke the old record for the day of 0.8 cm - no year for the previous record was provided - accompanied by 19.7 mm of rain, and the overnight low for May 8 of -4.8 C broke the record of -4.4 set in 1962.
