Alcohol is believed to be a factor in an early Thursday morning crash that resulted in a broken utility pole.
Shortly before 6:30 a.m., Prince George RCMP responded to a report of a single vehicle collision on Massey Drive.
Officers found a pick-up truck had crashed into a utility pole, severing the pole at the base but with power lines still intact.
The vehicle's three occupants were not injured and the driver, a 22-year-old woman from New Hazelton, was in possession of a learner's licence.
The west-bound lanes along Massey Drive between Carney Street and Griffiths Avenue are closed and police said they expected them to be closed for most of the day while crews replace the utility pole.
The investigation is continuing and anyone with information is asked to contact the Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300 or anonymously contact Crime Stoppers at 1-800-222-8477, online at www.pgcrimestoppers.bc.ca or Text-A-Tip to CRIMES (274637) using keyword "pgtips."
