All visitors to City of Prince George civic facilities will be required to wear a mask, following a new order issued by provincial health officer Dr. Bonnie Henry on Thursday.

In addition, no spectators will be allowed at indoor or outdoor sports events at the city's arenas and Prince George Aquatic Centre.

"Employees and visitors who are not wearing masks will be denied entry and/or asked to leave the facility," a statement issued by the city said. "This order does not apply to visitors with medical exemptions or those who are under the age of two years."

Henry announced a number of new public health measures on Thursday, see this related story for details.
