A B.C. Supreme Court trial will begin March 3 for a Prince George man facing charges related to a fatal fight outside a Fort St. John bar.
Joel Christopher Marchand, 30, faces charges of manslaughter and assault causing bodily harm in the death of Chris Ball of Calgary, who died from injuries suffered in a July 22, 2012 fight.
Ball was knocked unconscious when he was allegedly sucker punched and was taken off life support 11 days later after he was transferred to hospital in Edmonton.
The date was set Monday in Fort St. John
Charges against William Ted Metcalfe of Kelowna in relation to the incident were stayed in February 2013.
