A Prince George man has been charged with manslaughter in connection with a death last year.

The B.C. Prosecution Service approved the charge against Dallas Phillip Adsit, 30, on October 6, RCMP said Thursday.

The count comes from an Oct. 4, 2019 altercation at the corner of 20th and Redwood that left Gregory Gareth Wale, 35, also of Prince George, with serious injuries from which he later died.

Adsit later turned himself into police following a plea to the public for help to identify the person responsible by the RCMP.

Following his arrest on Oct. 28, Adsit was released by the court on an order to appear in court on Jan. 6 to confirm counsel.
