Man who died in crash identified

The man who died Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 97 South near Macalister Overpass has been identified as 35-year-old Louis George Therrien of Terrace.

The man who died Wednesday in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 97 South near Macalister Overpass has been identified as 35-year-old Louis George Therrien of Terrace.

Therrien was a passenger in a southbound pickup that was involved in head on collision with a northbound semi trailer that crossed the line into the southbound lane.

The victim was removed from the pickup with the Jaws of Life and transported to the hospital in Williams Lake where he died a short time later. Anyone who witnessed the accident is asked to call RCMP in Williams Lake at 250-392-6211 or Quesnel at 250-992-0505.
