Prince George RCMP have set up road blocks in a rural area near West Lake in a search to find suspects involved in a shooting on a rural property.
Police received a report of robbery and shots being fired on a West Lake rural property about 1:45 p.m. Friday.
As RCMP officers made their way to the location they ran into a man with a non-life threatening gun shot wound who was taken to University Hospital by ambulance.
Police are looking for suspects in a 1990's white van with no windows in the back and bearing Alberta licence plates.
Police ask anyone who sees a vehicle matching this description to call 9-1-1 immediately, but to not approach the occupants who should be considered armed and dangerous.
Motives for this shooting have not been determined. There is no indication that this is a gang- related attack. However the investigation continues.
