A 69-year-old man was sentenced Wednesday to four years in prison for the shooting death of his son in Takla Landing.
Jacques Henri Seguin was issued the term in Prince George provincial court on one count of manslaughter using a firearm from an Aug, 16, 2013 incident in which Christopher Seguin, 36, was killed in what police at the time described as a "domestic incident."
Seguin had originally been charged with second degree murder.
Takla Landing is a small community at the north end of Takla Lake, about 200 kilometres north of Fort St. James.
