A Boxing Day break-in at the Third Avenue Dairy Queen has yielded a day in jail and 18 months probation for the thief.

Clayton Mosionier was given the sentence in Prince George provincial court last week for theft $5,000 or under after he was caught on camera sneaking through the rear door of the restaurant at about 1 p.m. on Dec. 26 and stealing an employee's purse and a quantity of cash.

In January, Mosionier was sentenced to three months in jail for stealing two 42-inch televisions from the Sandman Signature Hotel, at 2990 Recplace Drive, on Dec. 17, with the help of a master key card lifted from the hotel two days before.
