A Quesnel man has been sentenced to 10 years in jail after pleading guilty to several drug and firearms related offences.

David George Massey was arrested in April 2011 at a Quesnel home where police found two kilograms of cocaine, about $300,000 cash, a number of rifles, handguns and ammunition and body armour.

The arrest of Massey followed a high level investigation that involved the RCMP's federal drug enforcement branch.

In April, two others who were arrested at the scene - Kelly Edward Champagne and James Darren Peacock - were each sentenced to 11.5 months in jail for trafficking in a controlled substance.
