Provincial Crown counsel has approved charges against a Prince George man suspected of downloading child pornography.
Jereme Carl Kozak, 25, has been charged with accessing and possessing child pornography and possessing the material for the purpose of distribution.
Kozak, who recently moved to Prince George from Quesnel, was arrested last week when Prince George RCMP executed a search warrant on a 400 block Voyageur Drive home.
Police said he was actively downloading child pornography as they arrived at the home.
A computer and other evidence was seized.
Kozak has since been released on conditions that include no contact with children 16 years old or under, unless supervised, to stay away from parks, pools, school grounds, day care centres and other places where minors may be present and no Internet access.
