West Lake was the scene of a drowning on Monday.
Just before 4 p.m., Prince George RCMP received a report that a man had gone under an was unresponsive when pulled from the water.
Despite efforts by a bystander, RCMP and paramedics, he could not be revived. The man was a non-swimmer and foul play is not suspected, RCMP said.
Support services are in place for witnesses, friends and family of the victim, whose name was not released.
