Search and rescue crews have recovered the body of a man believed to have drowned during a fishing trip on Arthur Lake near Finger Lake, south of Vanderhoof.
The 25-year-old man, who has not been identified by RCMP, was fishing with another individual when their boat capsized inn the evening of July 30. The other person swam to shore and flagged down a motorist, who called police.
Vanderhoof RCMP joined Terrace and Vanderhoof Search and Rescue personnel in the search and using sonar they found the body on Wednesday.
Foul play is not suspected. The B.C. Coroner’s Service has taken over the investigation.
