A Prince George man is dead after being ejected from his car during a crash on Highway 16, near Tabor Mountain.
RCMP said the driver lost control and rolled his 2004 Pontiac Vibe while traveling eastbound on the highway. He suffered severe head trauma and was taken to UHNBC, where he later succumbed to his injuries.
The driver was not wearing a seatbelt.
The cause of the crash remains under investigation. However, police said alcohol was not a factor in the accident but are examining if speed and distracted driving were involved.
Road conditions at the time of the crash were dry and clear.
The highway was closed for five hours after the accident.
