A two-vehicle collision in a Prince George back alley Sept. 10 resulted in a man being transported by air ambulance to Vancouver General Hospital where he remains in critical condition.

Two male passengers with him were uninjured and continue to help police with the investigation.

The accident occurred about 9 p.m. at Moffat Street and Second Avenue when a Nissan truck, travelling south in the alley at high speed, and after failing to stop, collided with a vehicle travelling east on Second Avenue.

The 17-year-old driver of the truck and his passenger were not injured. Police advise that alcohol and speed were contributing factors. The investigation continues and charges against the truck driver are pending.
