A man is under arrest for allegedly assaulting a local woman and holding her against her will. Police say they found the woman after they forced their way into a residence in the 1800 block of Queensway on Sunday.
Michael George Campbell, 49, has been charged with assault causing bodily harm and forcible confinement in the incident.
"Members attended the residence and had to use force to gain entry," said Prince George RCMP spokesman Cpl. Craig Douglass. "Once inside, the officers arrested an adult male believed to have assaulted an adult female who was still in the residence. The female victim was transported to hospital with non-life threatening but serious injuries."
