Man badly injured in Sunday morning assault

Prince George RCMP are investigating a possible assault that left a man suffering from life-threatening injuries. At approximately 9:40 a.m. on Sunday, police were called to a possible assault at a home in the 1,200-block of Fifth Avenue.

Prince George RCMP are investigating a possible assault that left a man suffering from life-threatening injuries.

At approximately 9:40 a.m. on Sunday, police were called to a possible assault at a home in the 1,200-block of Fifth Avenue. Officers found a man suffering from what appeared to be life-threatening injuries.

The victim was taken to hospital for treatment.

The Prince George RCMP Serious Crimes Unit has taken over the investigation into what police believe was a targeted attack. Police do not believe there is any danger to the general public.

Police are asking the public's help in the investigation. Anyone who saw or heard anything suspicious between 8 a.m. and 9:40 a.m. on Sunday is asked to contact Prince George RCMP at 250-561-3300.
