A man has been arrested and charged in connection with the reported sexual assault Saturday evening in Lorne Park.
Keanen Drew Norman Duncan, 20, faces one count each of aggravated sexual assault, sexual assault with a weapon, attempted robbery, choking to overcome resistance and uttering threats, Prince George RCMP said Wednesday.
Duncan was arrested late Tuesday afternoon when Prince George RCMP's serious crimes unit executed a search warrant at a Forest Avenue home.
Police received several tips after issuing a callout for witnesses this week.
"These types of violent crimes are extremely rare in our community" said Prince George RCMP Supt. Eric Stubbs.
"We provided a dedicated response and utilized all the resources available to us. I am very pleased that the evidence obtained and information provided has led to approved charges."
Lorne Park is located near the intersection of Massey Drive and Westwood Boulevard.
