A 27-year-old Prince George man has been charged after he was spotted driving a stolen pick-up truck.
On Friday, Sept. 6 an off-duty RCMP officer recognized a stolen Chevrolet pick-up being driven near the intersection of Fifth Avenue and Carney Street.
A short time later, frontline officers converged on the stolen vehicle at the intersection of Highway 97 and 15th Avenue. The lone occupant was arrested without incident and the vehicle was recovered.
Gordon Wilfred Pagens has been charged with possession of property obtained by crime over $5,000. He was held in custody through the weekend and will appear in Provincial Court later today (Sept. 9).
The vehicle had been reported stolen from an address on Fort Street at about 5:30 a.m. the same day.
