A Prince George man has been acquitted of attempted murder but will face sentencing for discharging a firearm with an attempt to wound or disfigure in a 2012 shooting that left his victim lying in a driveway of a 2800-block Northwood Pulp Mill Road home bleeding and writhing in pain.
The verdict was issued Thursday against Bradley Douglas Barr, 35, who faces up to five years in prison for the offence, following a multi-day trial in B.C. Supreme Court.
A Sept. 20, 2012 confrontation involving shotguns left Frederick Lyver, 42, with wounds to a leg and arm from which he is still recovering.
The two had been at odds over the operation of a marijuana grow operation, the court had heard.
Sentencing will occur at a later date.
