The man charged with propositioning a 14-year-old girl in the Quesnel public library was convicted and then later acquitted of a 1986 double murder in Vancouver when testimony from his wife was ruled inadmissible.

David Raymond Couture, 49, was arrested Tuesday after the girl alerted library staff and police were called to the scene.
