Mackenzie RCMP will receive $1,200 in the form of a civil forfeiture grant to purchase a camera and accessories to help with investigation and evidence gathering.
"Every RCMP detachment needs the proper tools to be successful in public safety and crime prevention," Prince George-Mackenzie MLA Pat Bell said in a release.
"Our civil forfeiture program is the most successful in Canada and I'm happy to see our community benefit."
A record $5.5 million has been awarded to various groups and organizations around the province from the latest round of grants generated from the confiscation of property obtained by crime.
