Just before 9 a.m. on Monday morning, police got a report of a person with a machete near Heather Park.
Many RCMP officers were on the scene and local schools were advised of the threat.
Police located a 19-year-old male in a wooded area some distance from any school. The man was in possession of a machete and in the process of using it for cutting down brush, the use that it was intended.
At no time were children or any other people at risk.
Police spoke to the man, advised schools and then left the area.
